Hum-Cancelling P90 With Alnico Rods FEATURES:
The Hum-Cancelling P90 with Alnico Rods is the perfect pickup for those looking for a cleaner, more articulate P90 pickup. It has an airiness and sparkle not found with adjustable pole pieces. Also, It’s great for those looking to balance a dark guitar. You’ll find that this pickup stays clean, while still having a fat, beefy midrange and thickness commonly found with P90 pickups.
Even though we are calling this pickup a P90, it’s not quite a P90. P90s are known for a snarly midrange and a stiffer top end. The Alnico Noiseless P90 is softer, cleaner, and has that ‘sparkle’ that you’re familiar with! This pickup is available in all our Soapbar and Dogear versions.

Sound
The Alnico Noiseless P-90 will sound like a regular P90, but with a familiar Fender sparkle on the top-end. Clean and articulate when playing without distortion. You’ll find that the nuances of your playing will come out as this pickup “breathes” more than it’s compressed P90 counterpart. With distortion, you’ll find a smooth, late breakup with a familiar Fender Strat-type tone. Expect a clear pick attack and a warmer midrange.
This midrange of this pickup is pronounced as well. You’ll find that the Alnico Noiseless P90 will still sound fat and beefy!
Are you looking for more of a traditional P90 tone? You won’t find that here. This model features a more “Fender” quality to it. If you’re looking for a traditional P90 tone, check out our P90 and Hum Cancelling P90!

Hey David, a quick look at your guitar seems like the Short Dogear model will work best. Select Short Dogear if you have a carved top guitar where the neck slightly slants back towards you when holding the guitar in a playing position.

Hey Glen, our Hum Cancelling P90s are the closest to what you currently have, only hum-cancelling. The alnico rod version will make it sound like a Strat or Tele.
In the sound clips on the P90 Alnico Rods page the first soundcloud clip says P90 Alnico Rod (Strat) and the second clip adds Hum-Canceling. I'm guessing that means the first clip is from a Strat shaped pickup. I loved that sound. Hey Glenn, the sound clip in question featured the Hum Cancelling P90 Alnico pickups in a Strat, so, if you have a strat routed for P90s, these will work just fine!

Hey Josh, the Short Dogear versions should be drop-in replacements. Please double-check all of our measurements against yours - casinos can be a bit tricky. If by the feedback you are talking about reducing the amount of 60-cycle, hum, then these pickups will completely solve that issue. If your feedback is more of a "body" feedback where your body "shakes and swells" on certain notes, this pickup could certainly solve this problem by reducing...

Lindy custom made these for me. I wanted a ” Rickenbacker toaster tone” and put them in a Collings 290DC that I do not use much. Guess what…..I played a video of a 325 Rick and then plugged in my “Single coil – hum- cancelling” Collings and VERY CLOSE. I was surprised. I did not think it would get that close. Solid mahogany body vs. a hollow alder I had my doubts but I gave Lindy all my information, specs. pictures and tone I wanted and Lindy as usual made custom pickups that were exactly what I asked for. Great alternative for a standard P90 pickup! Sounds very much like a
Jazzmaster pickup. Very Fender-esque sparkling chime tone. Sounds great in every situation I’ve encountered! Back down on your tone knob and you have a standard P90 sound. Whether it’s a cleaner sounding tone or a full tilt overdrive tone you can’t lose with this pickup!

I love these pickups! The cleans are beautiful, with lots of top-end sparkle and chime, and incredible clarity and definition — you really hear every single note in a chord. The dirty tones are nice and thick, but without the compression and grind you sometimes get on modern-sounding P90s, and without losing that incredible articulation. I put these in a Mustang and it instantly became my favorite guitar.
These Alnico P90s are a real blast. Same kickin’ out put as a typical P90. But a way brighter sound. Between the volume knob and a tone pot, you can get a lot of sounds from these pickups. The noiseless are dead quiet. Fralin makes top notch stuff!!!! I’m super happy, as usual!
Everything I had hoped for! Quiet! A tad brighter than I was expecting (but nothing a trusty tone knob can’t remedy). The noise canceling is legit and as promised, but while truly maintaining the P90 mojo. Will put them in any p90 guitar I get. And awesome customer service helping my luthier get them fitted.
I recently completed a Warmoth build and installed a pair of Lindy’s Noiseless Alnico Rod P-90s in it. Chambered mahogany body. The Alnico Rod pickups really deliver a wonderful tone in all 3 positions. Neck – Middle – Bridge. All totally useful sounds. these pickups are more open and airy than the stock P-90s, which are a tad dark for my purposes. I had the bridge pickup 5% over wound. Very happy camper here. Get a great cranked sound with my drive pedals too.
