With a unique design comes a familiar (yet unique) tone. This pickup features a thick, bold midrange, a percussive treble, and a familiar P90 growl.

Whether you play with distortion or not, you’ll undoubtedly cut through in the mix with our Split Steel Pole Tele Bridge.

Here's how we wind and magnetize our pickups:
If you're buying a set from us, all pickups will work together seamlessly. If you're buying a single pickup, all you need to worry about is Coil Direction.
To ensure your pickup will work, make sure you select multiple leads (2-Conductor, 3-Conductor, or 4-Conductor if available), or the 3-Wire modification so you can reverse the coil direction, if need be.

Split Steel Poled: Loved my first unit on a Bluesboy, wanted one for my first partscaster just completed. So satisfying. Paired it with a Steel Pole 42 (neck) as suggested. Love Fralins on my Strat and other Tele!
-
Fantastic! This pickup has excellent dynamic range for recording, and a ton of bite without entering into shrill territory. Flawless!!
-
Exactly what I was looking for! I have struggled to find the perfect bridge pickup to pair with my mini humbucker in my tele and this is IT! It is full and has the P90 growl but can still sound like a tele with the right picking dynamics and has just the right amount of cut to get through the mix with a full band…all while being as quiet as a humbucker. I couldn’t be happier with the change.
-
Super quiet pickup with no noise. Plenty of grunt and really nails the p90 sound while still retaining the tele clarity. One of the best pickups I’ve ever used.
-
The split steel poled tele pick ups are sooo great and not tele shrill sounding! I have a Fralin Sunbucker in the neck position (also great!), and between these two, I have so many tones available. They balance each other out perfectly. I also have installed a treble bleed, and with these 2 Fralin pups I have pulled OD, fuzz, etc. out of my fx chain and just turn up the amp and roll up/down the volume nob for all the drive I need. The pups go from clear to gnarly so well without giant volume jumps while also maintaining great clarity. Also if you call Fralin, they will answer and talk to you about what you are doing. Great customer service. Thank you Lindy!
-
Paired this pickup with the Steel Pole 42 Tele – Neck pickup as recommended on my Warmoth Forest Fire Pine Telecaster. Love the clarity as well as the growl when turning it up.
-
I love this pickup! I asked them which winding I should go with to match the other pickups in my B-bender Nashville tele and they were spot on.
Bridge pickup alone its very similar to my Les Paul with P90s. Almost imperceptible and any difference may be due to the 50’s wiring in the LP. In the Neck-Bridge position, it sounds amazingly twangy but with a bit more oomph than a normal tele (The neck pickup is a Fralin Big Single 42). Exactly what I was looking for. -
I’ve cycled through I don’t know how many different pickups for my Fender Am Pro II tele and nothing ever did it for me until I installed the Fralin Split Steel Poled Tele along with a Fralin P-92 in the neck.
There’s a clarity and “presence” to both these pickups and the combination of the two is magical. -
Finally found the right bridge pick-up!! I was looking for a pick-up that could handle hard rocking Marshall tones and clean up with the volume knob. Boy this is the one paired with a blues special in the neck finally done pick-up swapping.
-
Tell the guys that I built a Tele with the hum canceling P90s I bought last time and my friend asked to bring it to his show. He told me that he would play it on the last 3 songs of the 1st set. He did, and I put it in my case. They started the 2nd set while I was still outside. When I walked in, he gave me a nod to get it again and his $4,000 PRS sat in the back of the stage for the rest of the night. Everyone loved your pickups. Thank you guys for making such great products. The vintage hot pickups are the 4th different set of Fralin pickups that I purchased for my builds. Customer for life right here.
-
I got this to replace my Suhr Classic T bridge pickup which is a great, somewhat beefier Broadcaster style pickup. I loved it but ordered my Classic T back in 2006 before the SSC option was available and the noise sometimes presented a problem. Given my experience with Steel Pole 43s on other guitars in the past, I decided to give the Split Steel Pole a chance to see if it could provide that goodness without the noise. I’m pleased with the results. This pickup sounds great, P90ish but retaining some of the Tele bite without the noise. I paired it with a Split Blade Tele in the neck position and that combination is working well. I’m sticking with the 250k pots for now. Great pickup!
