It all starts here: our manufacturing process allows us to achieve unparalleled quality control. Lindy Fralin’s P90 in a Humbucker Cover consists of a precision injection mold and USA-Made Steel Screws. We use USA-Made Alnico 4 magnets to make this model scream. Each bobbin is carefully inspected and cleaned before winding.
We wind each pickup by hand, one at a time using our proprietary “Sectioning” technique. This winding technique gives our pickups a sweet, clear tone. Finally, we wax-pot the pickup to and prevent microphonics and preserve the pickup for years to come.

It really depends on the shop capacity at the moment, and the size of your order. Feel free to give us a call for an accurate lead time. We always try to underpromise and overdeliver.

What pickup height do you recommend setting your P90 – Humbuckers to?
Our recommended Pickup Height is 1/8" (3.175mm) on the Bass Side and 1/16"( 1.5875mm) on the Treble Side. Measure by holding the corresponding side down at its highest fret and measure from the bottom of the string to the top of the pole piece.

As usual, great sounding pickups. Put them in an ESP Eclipse CTM with a JB/59 and it’s tremendous. Quacks in the middle, great sounding neck and bridge. Perfect upgrade for any relatively inexpensive used guitar!

Unbelievable but Lindy did it!!! I have a vintage les Paul special with P 90’s … fantastic tone .. I put a set of the raw nickel covered humbucker size P90 in another guitar I have and I’m telling you in blind fold test I’m not sure anybody can pick which is which … Customer service is as good as it can get !!! Fralin Rocks!!!!

Brought back to life!
Changed out the Humbuckers in my fender FSR custom Telecaster with a -5% and stock wind f/b respectively. PIckups created response and clarity like no other. With the amp on the edge of a breakup a little volume knob roll-off cleans up without loss of volume. Loved the action of the guitar but the tone was uninspiring because the original pickups were wound hot and had little dynamic range; these brought new life to my guitar. Tons of tone, clarity, and sensitivity to boost any playing style. Black chrome covers on a black guitar….stunning!! Thanks for making a great product!!!

It’s not exactly a P-90 and it’s not a humbucker, but it’s all single-coil, big fat sonic mojo. This is my second one. I used the first in the studio for my main slide tones in “The Paul” and I have this one on my touring semi-hollow body. It’s more predictable than my traditional P90 and it’s a great single-coil choice if you don’t want to start digging into your Les Paul like a jabroni. Seriously, it’s become one of my favorite tones both live and in the studio. These are an under-appreciated concept and Fralin hits the mark better than other similar choices I’ve tried -Adam Joad

Twang city!
Loving these pick ups. Put them in an SG I like and the results have been awesome. Bridge has the classic P90 tone and can get really bright and twangy but doesn’t sound brittle. Roll off the volume a pinch and my ODs and fuzzes react dynamically which I love. Middle position is cool and makes for great funky tones. I opted for the 5% Underwound neck and I’m very pleased. I am always trying to brighten up the neck position in order to get more tones that still cut through and won’t sound too muddy or jazzy. Super happy with my product. know nothing about guitars but was building one as a gift for grandson. Every person I talked to at Fralin Pickups was so helpful it got me through the project and the boy was ecstatic. Great Tonal Upgrade
What a great way to wake up a guitar tone!! These pickups and combination were perfect for what I was looking for. I do find these are just a little darker than the regular P-90’s but so close it’s hard to tell. Really awesome product. More purchases to come from me. -
I put these in an LP special that I had put Frain p-92’s in previously. I liked the p92s but decided to go for a true single-coil. The p90s are awesome! I especially like the neck pick-up.

RP90H-S (set) installed in Epiphone Swingster. Installation by Pellerito Guitar included new wiring, caps and pots. Three months playtime later and still marvel at the tonal transformation. Articulation is exquisite, overtones rich and complex, pick sensitivity expressiveness cover full range smooth to barkin’. Loving these pick-ups!! Great product Lindy Fralin!

Just installed a set of stock pickups in a Gibson CS-336, replacing the stock humbuckers. I wasn’t sure what to expect but had gotten bored with the (perfectly adequate) PAF 59s that came with the guitar.
I have not been able to put the guitar down since putting these in. They are incredibly touch sensitive and have brought out a completely different instrument. Off the rack this was kind of a blue machine/rock and roll guitar – great with gritty distortion (think Bryan Lee), but less interesting to me on its own. Now it responds to every little nuance of touch with finger or pick, especially in the split position. The neck pickup and split are my favourites, but the bridge with some drive can still rock. Although P/U installation in a small hollowbody is not for the faint of heart, this was a major improvement. Thanks!

Amazing sound!
I have a many guitars of all different types, so I took a Les Paul Studio that had mediocre at best sound with its stock pups and put a pair of p-90 in humbucker case in it. Holy moly what an excellent sounding guitar it is now. Couldn’t be happier with them. Pro sound for sure. Thanks Lindy Fralin!
