Sound
The Alnico Noiseless P90 Humbucker is the perfect pickup for those looking for a cleaner, more articulate tone in a Humbucker Cover. Even though we call it a P90, it’s not quite a P90: it has an airiness and sparkle not found with adjustable pole pieces. Also, it’s great for those looking to balance a dark guitar. You’ll find that this pickup stays clean, while still having a fat, beefy midrange and thickness commonly found with P90 pickups.
The Alnico Noiseless P90 Humbucker will not sound like a traditional P90, but one with a familiar Fender sparkle on the top-end. Clean and articulate when playing without distortion. You’ll find that the nuances of your playing will come out as this pickup “breathes” more than it’s compressed P90 counterpart. Chords have an excellent string-to-string definition, and single notes are round and warm. With distortion, you’ll find a breakup that is late and smooth with a familiar Fender Strat-type tone.
Our Alnico Noiseless P90 Humbucker features a pronounced midrange as well. You’ll find that the Alnico Hum-Cancelling P90 Humbucker will still sound fat and warm. The midrange is softer than a P90, but this pickup is fatter and warmer than our Big Single and Twangmaster.
Are you looking for more of a traditional P90 tone? You won’t find that here. This model features a more “Fender” quality to it. If you’re looking for a traditional P90 tone, check out our P90 and Hum Cancelling P90!

I have a Les Paul standard and usually play in the middle position. How well would an alnico rod in the neck and a P90 noiseless in the bridge pair together?

Hey Tolu, they would pair together nicely! We overwind the Neck a bit more in this case to help them pair. Let us know in the Notes field on the checkout screen that both pickups are going together and we'll adjust the winding accordingly.
Hi, I purchased a set of Alnico noiseless P90 pups for my tele with a 52mm bridge pup. I wired it just like your diagram, before I even looked on your site to rectify my problem. The problem is it is acting like I reversed the polarity on one pup. "I didn't" unless it's wired wrong at the pup itself as the Black and braided leads are to ground and the white wires to the 3way switch. I have been playing, working and building guitars for 40+ years ...

Hey Jack, give us a call today at your convenience so we can talk through troubleshooting the pickup. I fear that there's a short in the Bridge pickup. If you have an ohm reader, please take a reading of the bridge pickup - it should read around 10K. If it reads close to half of that, we have a warranty that will cover the defective pickup.
Do these work fine as just a bridge pickup guitar, or do they have to be as a set?

Hey Hollie, you can certainly purchase the Bridge model only. We recommend selecting 2-Conductor lead just in case you need to reverse the phase down the road. - Tyler
Hi ! Just a question out of curiosity : I just noticed that on the set I received the magnets under the D string are beveled whereas the others are not, what is the reason/purpose to that ?

Hey Christophe, the beveled D is just how we designed the pickup for optimal tone and looks. Also, Lindy always likes to bevel a magnet the taller it gets.
What do you think about putting the alnico noiseless p90 in the neck position of a michael tuttle classic s HSH ? I’m looking for more character and classic strat neck tone versus the original humbucker which is kind of dark and muddy.

Amazed!
Buy these pickups, the .015 magic caps, and find your tonal heaven! These pickups have all of touch sensitivity, sonic width, bite, and warmth through my rig (TopHat King Royale and Emplexador) that I could ever ask for. I will be retrofitting all of my guitars pickups with Fralins!
P90 alnico poles humbucker
On a PRS CU 24, perfect for a 24 fret guitar to get a super fat single-coil sound, I wanted alnico poles to get a more single coil sound, and the middle together with the bridge humbucker is pure Tele. Super quiet, incredible sounds, highly recommended
Doesn’t get better than this! I put this in the neck position of an ’06 PRS Singlecut and I love it! Clean sounds are sweet and rich and I love the rawness of it with higher gain. These guys know their tone!
I finally like the sound my of LP
For years, the humbuckers on my LP have sounded muddy and ultimately made me steer clear of that guitar. Since installing these p-90 humbuckers, I haven’t been able to put it down. Theyre crystal clear with no hum at lower volumes and beautifully crunchy when turned all the way up. It’s the dream sound I’ve been looking for. Thanks to Lindy and team!
One of a kind!
Great idea for those who are looking for a humbucker with a good P90/single coil sound without the hum. I have always been a humbucker kind of player and it wasnt until recently that I fell in love with the single coil sound in the neck position but could never get past the noise single coils are known to produce. Single coil options in humbucker form? sure but are they noiseless? do they have rods instead of screws and can you get them non staggered and in a variety of cover options?? I was never able to find a pickup that did all of these things until I visited the Lindy Fralin site and boy am I glad I did! This pickup has highs with clarity and definition without being too thin or harsh, and enough lows without being too boomy or muddy especially in the neck position. I love that while it does sonically have some single coil characteristics it also has a bit more oomph and I can add a bit or a lot of overdrive and this pickup handles any potential unwanted noise like a champ, try doing that with a normal single coil!
Clarity with some bottom end
I installed a set of these pickups in an all-mahogany Collings CL (“Les Paulish” guitar). I liked the original pickups, but wanted something brighter. They performed as advertised: noiseless, solid bottom end and mid range (but without the usual mid range bump in regular P-90s),with a nice crisp top. Really enjoying the combination of the brighter pickups and the mahogany body. Very articulate without being clinical.
Works well with 250k
Paired this with a vintage hot single coil in a Cyclone and it works great. Looks cool too.
Everything I expected, and then some!
This P90 has all the bite, punch, and upfront growl you expect out of a P90, however, it’s whisper quiet. There is really no reason to look elsewhere if you want a noiseless p90 that can drop right into a humbucker spot. I am honestly thinking of dropping a pair of these in my Les Paul now they sound so amazing.
Great pickup if you’re tired of humbuckers
Great to use on the neck. I’m very satisfied.
Very pleased took care of 99% of my noise.
