I bought a set of stock p90’s for a project, modifying a new Epi Melody Maker E1. I chose the MM because of the nostalgia and simplicity, the fact that everything is on the pickguard, and I liked the classic sunburst model. I put in new CTS 500 pots/50’s wiring/PIOcap/selector with the new pickups. I call this my Po’ Boy 50’s Les Paul, it now has the warming bite of the classic p90 sound, mellow but with a little sting. The neck has all the classic jazz sounds, both together have that chiming richness, and the bridge sounds like all the great sounds of the 50’s-60’s era rock, bop, and jazz, and with overdrive it just feels right. The guitar itself has great dimensions, 43mm nut with a slim neck profile. I put Kluson locking tuners, classic knobs, kept the wraparound bridge(for now), so the looks and the sound match. A classic look and sound. Thanks for your phone advice, your sound clips, and your workmanship. Thank you Lindy Fralin!

Before I got them, I thought the reviews were exaggerated. I knew I would like the Fralins, but surely they can’t make THAT much of a difference. I was 100% wrong. These are magic. I was dumbstruck at how much they have transformed this guitar (Chinese-built Epiphone Casino)! I’m finally hearing this guitar the way it was meant to be heard, and I could sit there for hours strumming an E chord just to hear all 6 strings ring out like bells.
I 100% recommend these pickups to Casino owners (I used standard winds, with no risers), especially the owners of import models.

Fantastic pickup. I went with a standard wind and installed it in my les Paul junior and this thing screams. It is a very versatile pickup as well as extremely articulate. I would recommend to anyone looking to put a better than stock p90 in their guitar.

Humbucker sized P-90 Stock wind set in PRS Custom 24 with Les-Paul style wiring harness. These pickups live up to all the descriptions above and yes, I do luv the sound of a screaming P-90 pickup! To my ears the magic is in the set (both on) and roll those volume and tone controls around. The tones you can get are endless. If you are blessed with non-master volume amps or have models of them, I strongly suggest that’s where these pickups sound the best. They also take fuzz pedals and wah-wah’s exceptionally well. You should get you some!!

I replaced both pickups from Gibson P-100 of my 2001 Les Paul Junior Special.

Not recent, but the good news is rare these days Bought a set of A-3 P-90s five years ago after a short (info-packed) conversation with Lindy. Bought neck -10, bridge +6. While waiting I bought a $95 Epiphone Junior because it had a GREAT-sounding pickup. Put the pickup in a LP Jr. Very pleasing to my ears, better than Gibsons to my ear, sounded good through a variety of amps. still using it. Fralins sat in a closet.
Finally, put the five-year-old Fralins in a LP Special. Lord have mercy. Wide range of vintage attitude.
PS: I don’t want to sound like anybody but myself, it’s much easier now. (not necessarily good news….) -

Simply awesome company, product and customer service! I was referred to Fralin by Seymore Duncan and when I called about a 1955 Gibson ES-225T that was my dad’s because it had the incorrect pickup that appeared to be a mini humbucker, Lindy helped me choose the correct replacement dog eared P-90. It arrived in just over a week, was a breeze to install and sounds absolutely wonderful. The old girl has its tone back better than ever and I couldn’t be happier.
I can’t thank you enough Lindy, I thoroughly enjoyed talking with you and the help you gave me! Your authentic P-90s are amazing.

P90 Neck, stock output. Really, really like this pickup. I have it paired with Fralin Steel Pole 43 bridge in a Cort Sunset TC which has Gibson looks but Tele soul – with strings through ash body, 25.5” scaled maple neck, etc. Neck tone is super sweet, singing, never muddy, perfectly balanced. I tried different P90s in this guitar, even the exotic staple one, but this one just represents the voice in my head, so good.

I’m an old guitar player with an affinity for P90’s. The middle pickup on my 2001 PRS custom 22 triple soapbar died on my. (It was not a Fralin). Lindy custom wound a pickup that matched my other two perfectly. I don’t see any reason to ever buy pickups from anyone else. He has what I want, the sounds are tremendous, and he and his shop people are about as nice as you can get. Maybe I should buy another guitar to I can get more of his magical P90’s………………….

I have an Epiphone Casino. I was able to tolerate the humming until I connected my headphones to the amp. That was it. I couldn’t take it any longer. I bought a noise cancellation pedal, which didn’t work all that great. So, I bought a noise suppressor pedal, which did the trick. Then, one day my son borrowed the pedal and I was back to square one. I went back and forth, as to whether I should get the P90s with or without the noise cancellation. Boy am I glad I did! Perfect! Lindsey said that they were 99% identical to the standard P90s. I’m still trying to see if I can hear that last 1%. No way. Run as fast as you can and pick up a set of these. Best in the world!

Firstly a shout out to the Fralin team. Its such a pleasure to deal with them. timely responses and great advice. I’m newer to the P90 Sound, and I’m super impressed by the tone of a newly installed Lindy Fralin, hum cancelling P90 with Alnico Poles. The Godin Kingpin P90 was awesome, but I’m using high gain pedals and the noise was really getting under my skin. While it’s not the same P90 tone. As Lindy explains on his site. I can go from Strat quack to LP Marshall tones. Great pick up. I’ve purchase 4 sets of pick-ups from the team at Lindy Fralin. All have been beyond expectation. Now I want to swop out a Humbucker for one of these hum cancelling P90’s.

I swapped out the pickup in my riviera for the Fralin p-90 and the difference is mind blowing. Articulate, punchy and responsive. Great pickup.

Je choisirais l’ensemble sous-enroulé, donc, -5%. Cela éliminera une partie des médiums et vous fournira un son plus net et plus net en général.

I would choose the underwound set, so, -5%. This will scoop out some of the midrange and provide you with a cleaner more sharp tone in general.
