Features:
Split Blade Tele Pickups: revolutionary design, pure Telecaster tone, no hum. Unlike most pickups, we designed our Split Blades with a left-right coil design, giving you a truer and more balanced single-coil tone. These pickups will drop right into your Telecaster, with no modifications necessary. You’ll get all the single-coil traditional tone, with no hum at all.
Our manufacturing process allows us to achieve unparalleled quality control. Split Blades consist of a precision injection mold and USA-Made Steel Blades. We use aggressive USA-Made magnets to make this model scream. Each bobbin is carefully inspected and cleaned before winding. We wind each pickup by hand, one at a time. Each pickup is wound using our proprietary “Sectioning” technique. This gives the pickup a sweet, clear tone. Finally, we wax-pot the pickup to preserve the pickup and prevent microphonics.

Sound
SPLIT BLADE TELE SOUND:
Unhappy with Hum-Cancelling Fender Pickups, Lindy designed the Split Blade. It’s a hum-canceling pickup with traditional Fender-type sparkle. They’re unique: they offer a single-coil sound, no hum, and dashingly good looks. Expect fantastic a warm, full-bodied tone with incredible string articulation and enhanced detail. Wound strings sound clear and articulate due to a narrow magnetic field. Plain strings sound thicker than a single-coil with more of a sonic footprint. Chords will sound smooth and buttery, and single notes will sound large and full. Split Blades will not pull the strings out of tune – even if they get close to the strings. Also, adjusting the pickup’s height allows you to fine-tune your tone to your needs. Expect thick, warm, and dynamic tone with distortion.

1 Ohm Readings can vary due to a multitude of factors, including ambient temperature, multimeter calibration, different wire batches, and other factors. Due to this, ohm readings are approximate. Learn more about Ohm Readings here.
2 We recommend a 0.02mfd Cap Value on most guitar and bass pickups. The exception is a Magic Cap, which Lindy prefers on the Bridge Pickup of Fender® guitars only. Learn More about Caps Here.
* Due to the unique design of this pickup, ohm readings aren't very helpful. Our Vintage Output is close to the a Vintage Strat Pickup output.

If you're buying a set from us, all pickups will work together seamlessly. If you're buying a single pickup, all you need to worry about is Coil Direction.
To ensure your pickup will work, make sure you select multiple leads (2-conductor with shield), or the 3-Wire modification so you can reverse the coil direction, if need be.

What pickup height do you recommend setting your Split Blades to?
Split Blades sound best a little closer to the strings than a standard Strat or Telecaster pickup. Split Blades don’t pull your strings out of tune like a regular pickup, either. Feel free to get our Split Blades close to the strings – you’ll love their tone when you do! Check out this video of Lindy setting the Split Blade Height.

I just wanted you to know that you guys are the very best! This new pickup is incredible. I needed a little more output from my Tele Bridge. The Blues output not only gave me the extra I wanted, but the tone is lovely. No shrill sounds. And a wonderful creamy vibe when digging into the strings. The real icing on the cake is, when I run it in 4th position (Series) with the P90 neck pup I have from you guys, things really changed for the better. Not only does the extra output match better with the P90 but the tone from the P90 and this new Tele pickup in Series is really amazing. Thick and loud. Better than any Humbucker I’ve got. I’ve been using split blades on my strat since they came out. And when I bought a tele, I immediately ordered splits for the tele too because I knew they would give more than I asked for. They are the best sounding, cool looking pickups plus they are hum free!!!
Fralin is one of the few compaines that I never worry or think “will I like it, will it be good enough” while buying something.

I am so satisfied with my Tele Split Blades, I ordered the Strat set as well. These are the genuine deal. True Tele tone with no hum. They sound amazing through my Mesa Mark V and Vox amplifiers and after plugging in to my old Peavey VSS20, these pickups made that amp sound great. No concerns here – truly happy with this upgrade that has transformed the tone of my Tele.

The set of overwound pups I bought for my SX Furrian Nashville Tele turned a $175 axe into Mjolnir. Played the first set of a recent gig with a $900 axe with active pickups (both brands will remain unnamed). Played the second with the Lindy modded axe, and people started looking at me as if I had a “free prime rib” sign on my forehead. I half expected the club to bill me for broken windows and mirrors.

I played the Fralin “stock tele” pickups for years, and loved them like the real deal. But these split blades have a voice that -to me- is so sweet, I’d order them even if they were noisy! Fabulous.

A word of advice buy both pickups! I ordered a bridge split blade and left the stock tele neck pick up big mistake. These pickups are so awesome that they blow stock pickups out the water!

Solves the problem but creates others
The tone is pretty darn close to my fave tele set, Lollar vintage pu’s. These will pass in the mix. And they are dead quiet. But they just added (or maybe removed?) something that left me wanting.

Hi Lindy, Want to say I am very happy with my set of Split-Blade Tele pickups. Initially installed them with the recommended 500k pots, however, found them slightly bright and switched to 250k. They sounded more balanced to my ears this way. I like them because they are quiet, sensitive, and sweet-sounding. I got the Blues set with slightly higher than vintage output. I had recently put a set of Fender ‘65 pups in my Strat, and I have to say on sound alone, I gravitate to my Tele now. May have to replace the Strat pups with Fralins. Thank you!

2012 American Deluxe with N3’s
This Tele now has a vintage OP neck and high OP bridge, all else is stock. The day the SB’s arrived I didn’t have much time and put only the neck pup in. I had to turn down the volume a tad on my DRRI then the N3 bridge sounded very weak. The next day I swapped out the bridge pups and things were very will balanced. The SB neck is very warm w/o mud. The middle has that Tele sound and the bridge has more mids and less treble. Now all positions still have plenty of treble. The series mode has a Gibson-ish sound with Tele still in the mix. It’s hard to describe the sounds but l like every position. Due to less magnetic pull, there’s more sustain than before. I had a hard time on choosing my bridge output but the high gives the warmth I was hoping for and it doesn’t over power the vintage neck. The SB’s sound very good for noiseless. No thin sounds now. I now hear things I was missing from my true single coils. I hated giving up my chrome covered neck pup for looks sake but after hearing them it’s not a big deal. The only problem now is I can’t put this guitar down. I hope to try the split steel pole bridge some day! Way to go Mr Lindy. Thanks for these awesome pups. -

The Only Tele Pickup You Need
Read the title, there is nothing else to say that hasn’t been said. Had a set in one tele and added this neck to another to match the hum cancelling SP43 in the bridge. TONE CITY!
