Features:
Split Blade Tele Pickups: revolutionary design, pure Telecaster tone, no hum. Unlike most pickups, we designed our Split Blades with a left-right coil design, giving you a truer and more balanced single-coil tone. These pickups will drop right into your Telecaster, with no modifications necessary. You’ll get all the single-coil traditional tone, with no hum at all.
Our manufacturing process allows us to achieve unparalleled quality control. Split Blades consist of a precision injection mold and USA-Made Steel Blades. We use aggressive USA-Made magnets to make this model scream. Each bobbin is carefully inspected and cleaned before winding. We wind each pickup by hand, one at a time. Each pickup is wound using our proprietary “Sectioning” technique. This gives the pickup a sweet, clear tone. Finally, we wax-pot the pickup to preserve the pickup and prevent microphonics.

Sound
SPLIT BLADE TELE SOUND:
Unhappy with Hum-Cancelling Fender Pickups, Lindy designed the Split Blade. It’s a hum-canceling pickup with traditional Fender-type sparkle. They’re unique: they offer a single-coil sound, no hum, and dashingly good looks. Expect fantastic a warm, full-bodied tone with incredible string articulation and enhanced detail. Wound strings sound clear and articulate due to a narrow magnetic field. Plain strings sound thicker than a single-coil with more of a sonic footprint. Chords will sound smooth and buttery, and single notes will sound large and full. Split Blades will not pull the strings out of tune – even if they get close to the strings. Also, adjusting the pickup’s height allows you to fine-tune your tone to your needs. Expect thick, warm, and dynamic tone with distortion.

1 Ohm Readings can vary due to a multitude of factors, including ambient temperature, multimeter calibration, different wire batches, and other factors. Due to this, ohm readings are approximate. Learn more about Ohm Readings here.
2 We recommend a 0.02mfd Cap Value on most guitar and bass pickups. The exception is a Magic Cap, which Lindy prefers on the Bridge Pickup of Fender® guitars only. Learn More about Caps Here.
* Due to the unique design of this pickup, ohm readings aren't very helpful. Our Vintage Output is close to the a Vintage Strat Pickup output.

If you're buying a set from us, all pickups will work together seamlessly. If you're buying a single pickup, all you need to worry about is Coil Direction.
To ensure your pickup will work, make sure you select multiple leads (2-conductor with shield), or the 3-Wire modification so you can reverse the coil direction, if need be.

What pickup height do you recommend setting your Split Blades to?
Split Blades sound best a little closer to the strings than a standard Strat or Telecaster pickup. Split Blades don’t pull your strings out of tune like a regular pickup, either. Feel free to get our Split Blades close to the strings – you’ll love their tone when you do! Check out this video of Lindy setting the Split Blade Height.

Great pickup
No hum and great sound. -
Worth It!
I was apprehensive about the price but if you consider a lower cost pickup, the difference in cost is not worth the difference in sound. These sound great! Nice clean traditional Tele sound with no noise. Well balanced, no dead spots when bending strings. They really look good also. -

tons of snap snarl and bite…this is the way a tele should sound!!..I’ve got another tele with the Blues wound as well…slightly warmer with a tad more bottom and mid range…Tip of the hat to Lindy and has crew!! -
If I were wealthy I would put fralin pickups in every guitar I own. For now it’s just going to be one guitar at a time. I have Linda’s pickups into Warmoth custom teles and I wouldn’t have anything else.

Just installed these (low output version) replacing some Alnico II pro’s (single coil) I had on a tele that I probably played 500 gigs with. They exceeded my expectations. I though they would lack sweetness and chime like most humbuckers … but they don’t. The neck version sounds almost like a strat neck pickup but bigger, and clear as a bell. The neck has a little more mid and a lot more output than my old Alnico II pro’s, which was exactly what I wanted. You can indeed make them as close to the string as you want with no negative effects, and the built in radius is fantastic and brings a balance across the strings you can’t get with pole screws. This make my tele vastly more usable. Does it do vintage tele chicken pickin’? … not really, but closer than any zero hum pickup I have heard. This is a game changer. Thanks Lindy!

Super High Output Bridge Position
This pickup absolutely exceeded my expectations, period. I play in a metal style in B standard and there is not a single trace of muddy sound coming from this split blade. It handles every last bit of gain you throw at it flawlessly. For the purists out there, it still has that Telecaster twang. It makes for an excellent lead position, and still sounds outstanding when playing rhythm/power chords. It has a most pleasing and unique grind when letting chords ring out. It is indeed a quiet pickup, and in fact makes less noise than my neck position humbucker. In the middle position, it pairs very well with it’s partner and I like using this for clean playing. I have a treble bleed installed and rolling off the volume adds great variation to the sounds you can find. It is also an aesthetically pleasing pickup to look at if you’re into that sort of thing. I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of this pickup and would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for an aggressive bridge pickup for their Tele. It was worth every penny and I plan on sticking with Fralin for future purchases. -

Perfect replacement for my American Performer Tele Bridge. Noise-free and Tele spank with a lol more warmth for my slide playing. Sounds good clean or with the breakup! -

Splits in my Hamer T-51!
Wonderful…very clean and spanky meds which clang mightily in my Swart and Fargen Class A single-ended amps. Very complex harmonics, more than the SD Broadcasters it replaced. Loving the quiet allowing me to crank the amps more. My next project is your P-90s in the Hamer or maybe the McCarty~! Loving your Virginia pickups!
