Is your Lead Time of 3-4 Weeks accurate?
It really depends on the shop capacity at the moment, and the size of your order. Feel free to give us a call for an accurate lead time. We always try to underpromise and overdeliver.

What pickup height do you recommend setting your P90s to?
Our recommended Pickup Height is 1/8" (3.175mm) on the Bass Side and 1/16"( 1.5875mm) on the Treble Side. Measure by holding the corresponding side down at its highest fret and measure from the bottom of the string to the top of the pole piece.

I left a review about a week after I received Fralin’s P90s. It’s now been a few weeks and my opinion is maybe even more positive. These are my first Fralin pickups but I’ve had Lollars, Seymour Duncan’s, and Gibson, and the Fralins outshine all. They’re so so smooth, enough power to push my amp but still super dynamic and open, articulate with open chords. I’m impressed by the amount of treble these things get while staying miles away from being ice-picky. I’m a customer for life.

I own many sets of Lindy’s pickups. Lindy’s pickups never fail to impress me. The P-90s that I ordered look and sound fantastic in the Epiphone Casino. I also have to say that I appreciate Jenny saving me some money on shipping. I ordered the P-90s the day before I ordered a Vintage Hot Stratocaster bridge pickup. She emailed me and informed me that she had combined the two orders and that I only had to pay for the shipping once. The customer service that Lindy and his team offer is always top-notch. Ive had +5% in a SG jr for 15 years. Just got a SG special with stock wind Fralin p90s. A little brighter than the overwound that works great for that guitar. Roll down the volume and get great cleans. I use 500k pots. Ive had pickups from several other makers and always go back to Fralin.

Best P90 set I’ve ever played, hands down. I have a super bright semi hollow that I couldn’t tame, these didn’t trick. So smooth
I bought stock wound neck and 5% overwound bridge and they balance perfectly to my ears. The bridge is twangy but not overly so and the neck is just buttery. I’m a Fralin customer for life now. -
I ordered an underwound soapbar neck P90 with a plastic cover. I installed it in the neck position a fixed-bridge stratocaster, with the mounting screws directly into the alder body and foam weatherstrip material underneath the baseplate to allow height adjustment. The pickup height is approximately 1/8″ from the strings when they are held down at the last fret. This is a single-pickup guitar with 500 k pots and a shielded pickup cavity. To my ears, the P90 sounds nice and clear, sort of like a strat neck pickup with more character or richness. It seems less dark than previous P90s I have tried. The single-pickup noise seems pretty low. I’m not sure why this is – whether it’s influenced by the lower windings, the baseplate structure, or whether I got lucky with the shielding. Overall I find the tone of this P90 very pleasing and I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. Now I just need to play better!

I installed a set of the Dogear P90 with raw nickel covers for a MIC 2022 Epiphone Casino. These pickups have completely transformed the guitar into a wild beast. When turned up they are spiky, chimey and brash. Turn the volume down and they soften up a bit, but still retain a bite. I can get warm Grant Green jazz tones with the tone knobs dialed back, ’65 Beatles chime with everything up, and jump blues grooves with the knobs dialed back a touch. It’s so versatile now and this guitar has become my #1 over my Tele (which has a set of Fralin Vintage Hot Tele pickups). Plus, they look dope as hell with the raw nickel covers, which give the guitar a vintage look and feel. I wanted to stay true to the original 60’s metal covers and these look the part. I can’t imagine there’s a better set of pickups for this guitar.

Easy ordering from the website, reasonable amount of time to prepare, process and ship. Straight forward installation and set up, had to cut the springs to get the right height, as expected. String it up and away it went, beautiful crystal clear clarity, add a little gain and got a little growl. Haven’t had a lot of time to do much more yet but I’m looking forward to spending a lot more time with this guitar soon. Thanks for a great upgrade and great service!

I installed Lindy Fralin’s P90
pickup in my friends Epiphone Les Paul Jr. This guitar had a Lace V90 in it that had someone installed incorrectly.
The pickup was a 1/2 ” from the strings and I thought that was why it was so wimpy. I ordered Dogear shims from Fralin and while waiting I measured this pickup. Couldn’t believe it, 2.5 ohms!.
I called my friend and suggested we order a Fralin P90.
The shims (I knew I would still need) arrived quickly and the pickup was here two weeks later.
One shim did the job and the pickup was the perfect height. I loved the old school braided wire and installation was easy.
I plugged into my 64 Vibro Champ and wow, really. Great tone, only one pickup in a Les Paul Jr and this bridge pickup, slightly over wound is all you will need. When my friend picked up his guitar, he was blown away, and seriously happy.
Now I want to get for a lap steel I’m working on. It would be perfect!

I am very happy with the whole process from the day I ordered my pair of P90s to this day when I can play with the them. Great service and updates about the delivery etc. But, the most important, they sound great. Love the sound and the versatility they offer. There is a great difference with the ones from Fralin and the pair I had before(Epiphone).

Gadzooks, I’ve tried the other brands, always come back to Lindy. Nothing else sounds as good. Customer service is second to none. And all Lindy Fralin pickups just sound beautiful, be it single coils, humbuckers, or these amazing sounding P90s.

I have installed and used innumerable P90s in my time as both builder and performer. It is one of my favorite pickups, but not all of them are built equally. While some can be quite harsh, others, especially over-wound ones, may be downright unusable due to excessive compression. In general, I tend to favor those with lower wind using alnico II, III or IV magnets. But everything is relative, and a pickup is only as good as how well it is made and the quality of its components. So far I have had little experience with Fralin P90s, but as part of rebuilding an old Domino hollow body guitar, I intuitively decided to go with Lindy’s vintage voiced dogears and I’m glad I did. It is by far the best sounding P90 out there, articulate, open and with the kind of bark that is neither too harsh nor squashy. It made that old Japanese guitar sound like a million dollars, the kind of instrument you pick up and realize you’ve been playing it for an hour, forgetting that you were only meant to give it a test run. This P90 is now the one for me!

WOW. I’m used to being impressed by Lindys pickups but these exceeded expectations, by far. I’ve tried a lot of other Lindy Fralins pickups – Real 54s, Vintage Hot for both strats & teles, Pure PAFs. The split blades, steel poles, etc. ALL sound amazing, I’ve tried other brands. Keep coming back to Fralins. They.Just.Sound.BETTER. Than anything else. They all sound like the original pickups that are being emulated but somehow better. Much better. I don’t know what sort of magic he’s came across but everything Fralin is magical sounding, and inspiring. I’ll never be famous but I can have a famous, amazing sounding guitar with Fralin pickups. ALL Fralin pickups I’ve purchased are downright INSPIRING. Well done, Lindy, once again!

These are hands down the best P90 pickups there is. I swapped out the shoddy Epiphone Pro P90’s in my Casino for a pair of the standard Fralin P90’s. Wow. They are sublime and beat any other P90’s I’ve had the pleasure of owning (SD Antiquities, Lollar, Monty’s 54, Gibson, Mojotone). If you’re looking for P90’s, the search stops here.

My first experience with Fralin, and a great one. The pickups in my Epiphone Casino were just very bland and lifeless, broke up way too quickly, muddy, uninspiring. Complete 180 with the stock Fralin P90’s. Clear, articulate, respond well to pick attack, and break up nicely as I push the guitar volume, as opposed to just an on/off switch. Love the way they sound clean, too – neck pickup is very bluesy and warm, and bridge is well-defined without sounding “ice picky”. Will definitely be buying more Fralin pickups in the future

I ordered a set of stock P-90s for a Black Cherry Telecaster build I did. Wow. These things sing. They have to be the most responsive P-90s I have played. They have tons of bite despite the fact I went with Fender Tele spec’d pots and caps. I was so impressed I will use Fralin pick-ups on my next builds – a ’51 P-bass (already on order) and a classic Black Cherry P-Bass to match the Telecaster. Not only do these things sound amazing, the cream pick-up covers really compliment the wood. After much research and debate, I am glad that I went with Fralin’s.

I ordered a P90 bridge, 5% over, for a single pickup Les Paul project. The overwind is perfect for the application….all the power you need in the bridge position. Then drop the volume a bit, roll the tone to the deep end and you get all the thick rich sounds of a neck pickup. Beyond all expectations! Absolute P90 perfection!

I love A4 P90’s.
I went with a stock bridge wind and -5% neck wind for a 06 Korean Casino.
The neck cover angle was off for my particular guitar, so I built a custom wedge shim out of a .080” piece of black pickguard material under the front half of the neck pickup. With this set up I am very happy with the balance between both pickups.
These are great P90’s and I think they sound period correct with the metal covers.They were safely packed and the turnaround time was quick. Thanks Lindy and Company!
