Sound
There are a few ways to cancel out the hum in a pickup. Some manufacturers feature a “stacked” coil design, which we believe leads to a lifeless and dull tone that lacks character. Lindy’s Hum Cancelling P90 features a Side-by-side coil design that is not stacked and attains a more accurate P90 tone that actually sounds like a P90.
Expect a vintage-voiced P90 tone, with a slightly thicker midrange and rounder highs. This pickup will undoubtedly push your amp hard and provide that snarly midrange and top-end “bark” we have come to expect from a P90. Suitable for many music styles, this pickup can scream and clean up nicely for jazz or blues.
Going even further, you can customize your tone by selecting Overwound and Underwound options. By overwinding a pickup, the tone gets thicker, darker, and dirtier. By underwinding a pickup, the pickup gets clearer and more articulate.

Our manufacturing process allows us to achieve unparalleled quality control.
Hum-Cancelling P90s consists of 100% USA-Made parts, including a precision injection mold, USA-Made Steel Screws, and Neodymium magnets. We use aggressive USA-Made Neodymium magnets to make this model scream. Each bobbin is carefully inspected and cleaned before winding.
We wind each pickup by hand, one at a time, using our proprietary “Sectioning” technique, which gives the pickup a sweet, clear tone. Finally, we wax-pot the pickup to prevent microphonics and preserve the pickup for years to come.

I have a semi hollow musicman axis hard tail). I would love to have your p90 Humbucker shaped pickups in it but that guitar has a number of parameters that I am not sure a bespoke order can address: 1) requires short legs 2) requires the triangular ears (dimarzio) 3) is mounted directly and therefore has a rather shallow cavity Is there anything we could do here ?

I'm excited to put a set of these "p-90"s in a 2003 ES-336 I'm trickin'out. I haven't had a guitar w/P-90's since the '80's - see below. Unless I'm mistaken and he was talking about standard HB's, my friend Martin said I want "RWRP" leads. Please advise, THX! Hey Fred, you can go with Gibson lead actually - and since these pickups are hum-cancelling by default, you don't need any RW / RP - they will cancel hum in all positions.
I have an Epiphone SG with Humbuckers installed and would like to replace them with P90s and I was wondering if these would fit inside the hole, I'm unsure if they're too small or fit perfectly

Hey Sam, if nothing is hooked up to the Push Pull switch, nothing will happen. These pickups do not feature a coil-splitting ability - they are one continuous coil without any "tap".

Who knew a modern Sterling Cutlass could become a vintage Les Paul Jr and noiseless at the same time. The concept of P90 sound in different pickup sizes is brilliant.
HOLY squiggly line, exclamation point, dollar sign and asterisk…what a difference quality pickups make. Used a .033 and .015 cap on install instead of .047s to liven up the tone. I may change them out later to get a bit darker, but man, these deliver the tone I wanted. I always feel like it’s a gamble when I get something blind over the web but this was well worth it. The black nickel covers look great too although I was expecting a bit darker but, just the same, look great on the all black guitar. My renovation project is a true success with these pickups. Great product support as well. A truly innovative design.
I really love the stock wound pickup I put in the bridge of my old Univox Lucy. Really has nice output that drives my amp to a nice, articulate crunch just as well as a nice, chimy clean tone.
The underwound, noiseless p-90 I bought sounds amazing!
I was looking for a pickup that was humbucker sized and sounded EXACTLY like a Gibson p90 pickup but noiseless.
* These 5% underwound pickups didn’t sound exactly like a Gibson p90. I would say they sounded closer to a humbucker than a single coil but they did have some p90 qualities.
* The tone of these pickups still resonated with me and that is why I kept them. They sound wonderful on any setting, clean or dirty. I have them in an 89 LP Custom and they are very versatile.
* I talked to Lindy about my experience and he mentioned that I may like his P94 pickups better, but I enjoy these pickups too much to send them back. I may purchase the p94s in the future though.
* The electric in my house is extremely noisy (even with humbuckers). These humless p90s are absolutely silent!

If the electric guitar pickup was in the key of love! When I play the guitar with these pickups it puts my Dad asleep and when my Dad plays it, it puts me to sleep. On my Gibson sg Faded.

Fantastic pickups!
I play in a country band that does a wide range of covers from the 90s to current hits and I’ve always struggled with the tone of particular tele of mine with a dual humbucker set up. These pickups were a fantastic purchase. They are being used mostly with Morgan amplifiers and they react very well to a wide variety of gain. Perfect for playing chords with overdrive while still retaining clarity and the touch-sensitive nature of the amps break up. They get really badass when you put them behind something with high gain.
Rebirth
So I put a pair of Lindy;s P-90s on an old Gibson ES-175 and the guitar was reborn; I can still hear the wood, but now there’s a rainbow of harmonics that jump out and wanna play. At this point, the guitar is playin’ me..
This is what I was missing
I bought these back in the first half of 2020. The second I got these installed and the guitar strung up, the sound that came out of the guitar was just.. So good. I got a neck and bridge set of them, -5%/+5% wind for neck/bridge, the neck came out feeling very low-end heavy, and the bridge sounds almost perfect. Blending the two together with the middle position on my guitar, there’s a sweet spot I found that makes the guitar sing. The guitar I installed them on was already my favourite to play on, and they only amplified that fact. I knew P90’s we’re the way to go, and I’m glad I spent the money to get these. There’s a very good chance I’ll outfit more my guitars with more of them sometime down the line.
