Fralin Volume Kit FEATURES:
Your Problem: You roll down your volume knob, and your treble goes with it.
Solution: The Lindy Fralin Volume Kit.
The Fralin Volume Kit utilizes a 0.002µF Capacitor and a .200 Resistor to solve this problem. The Volume kit will install on the lugs of your Volume Pot and will bleed treble as the Volume Pot rolls down. This is essential for Country, Blues, and Rock guitarists who want to keep their high end and utilize their volume knob.
For the installation of our Push-Pull mod, see our page here.

Q Will this work with a 1meg pot and a single coil (Fralin jaguar +10%)A
Hey Logan, I can't guarantee that the Fralin Volume Kit will make much difference on a 1Meg pot. You can barely hear the difference on a 500K pot - so, I wouldn't recommend it. - Tyler
in FEATURES it says the cap is .002uf (2nf) and in tech specs it says 0.02 (20nf) which is it? 2nf and 20nf is a bit different.

0.002µF - sorry for the confusion.
Are there different values for single coils vs humbuckers?

At this time, no - Lindy only created this version, and it works great on both.
Added some punch. Nice!
My favorite
I’ve tried several resistor/cap combos, and this is my personal favorite. I have it on all of my guitars. Some players want warmth. The change in tone from lowering the volume serves a purpose for them. The problem is that when you move the volume control again, the tone changes again! I prefer to use this kit, select my target tone on the guitar & amp, and always have it the same, regardless of volume. To my ear, this kit nails it. I’m always in the top half of my volume control (and why wouldn’t you be?). I don’t sense any change in tone from 1/2 to wide open. I love it. Very transparent; bridge pickup loves it! Highly recommended. When you first install it, it may seem intrusive, so you roll your tone knob back. Soon, you’ll open the tone knob again and hear this crystal clear singing tone. I considered installing a switch to select it, but I soon decided that the switch would always be in the ON position, so I just went back to playing!!
Smooth job, as advertised
2nd volume kit, in 2nd guitar. Works very well at allowing you to drop guitar’s volume without dropping high end. Essential for milking the most out of your amp and gain pedals
Noiseless P-90’s in a brand new 2018 Les Paul Special
These pick ups cured the common 60 cycle hum/buzz that P-90’s are known for. They sound great and the volume and phase reversal push pull
Pot makes it a tone king! The people that work there are focused on customer satisfaction and it shows. My only comment is that I had to replace the rest of the pots due to the fact that the brand new Les Paul Special had a hard wired circuit board inside. Who would have thought that anyway since it only performed basic standard functions from the factory. No tricky switching etc.
Volume kit
Easy and it works.
Essential mod
This mod is a must for guitarists who regularly uses guitar volume adjustments to control amp dynamics. No more loss of clarity as the volume is rolled down!
For me, this mod allows me to get some great crunch tones on my strat by backing off the volume knob when using HIGH GAIN settings. However, way too thin for clean tones. That is why I am installing a push-pull pot so I can select the mod as needed.
For the problems in the other reviews, try setting your amp’s controls with the guitar volume at 5 to 6. Once you have the treble tamed there, rolling up to 10 should get Fuller as it gets louder and wilder. Borrowed this suggestion from Rupert Neve.
I also could not use this. Adds too much treble as the volume comes down. Really is a problem for me when playing chords.. The whole tone/sound of the guitar is changed when turning down the volume. I had to remove it after my gigs when I got home.
I wasn’t as crazy about this result as I thought I would be. Prior to installing this my volume knob was pretty useless as it sucked all the highs out as soon as you go from 10 to 8 or 9…pretty typical. After installing this I definitely do not lose any highs when rolling back but it seems to actually increase the highs substantially to the point it is way too bright when you get down around 6 or so. One way to look at it is that it does its job a little too well. I’d like to find a happy medium somehow. I gave it 4 stars because it is better than what I started with but was hoping for a broader range of useful tone when rolling back my volume.
