We only use the finest-quality, USA-Made pickguards available. Our pickguards are standard USA-Made 11-hole Stratocaster pickguards, unless you choose Single Ply, which is an 8-hole vintage-style pickguard. See below for the color options:
Please note: that while we try and make every effort to make sure everything matches, different manufacturers and dye lots can cause subtle differences in hue and tone.

General FAQs
Here are quick answers to common questions we get:

Can I return my pickguard?
No. Your pickguard is completely custom-built for you, so we cannot accept returns.

What warranty applies to the pickguard?
10 Years on our Pickups, 1 Year on electronics, parts, and pots.

What does the baseplate do?
The Baseplate adds a touch of power and output to the Bridge pickup. This mod is removable and is only available on certain models.

What does the Bright Switch mod do?
The Bright Switch modification adds a bit of clarity, brightness and output when you pull up on the push-pull modification. This mod only affects pickups installed with 250K pots, so it won’t work on our Steel Pole 43’s and High Outputs.

What does the Volume Kit do?
The Volume Kit (or Treble Bleed circuit) prevents your tone from getting darker when you roll your volume down.

Does my Pickguard come with Hardware?
Yes! We ship all pickguards with the screws needed to install your pickguard.

Do you sell Matching Backplates (Tremolo cover)?
Yes, we do! Simply check “Add matching backplate” in the “Options & Upgrades” box.

Can I send you my pickguard to wire up?
Yes, you can! Order a Prewired Pickguard from us and let us know in the “Notes” field that you are sending us a Pickguard. Don’t select Tortoiseshell / Pearloid options as they are more expensive. Reference your invoice number on the new pickguard you send to us. Please note, you do not get a refund if you send your own pickguard in.

Best choice I could have ever made , traded my son a Elite Tele for a US special Strat . Only catch was he had to also buy me a loaded vintage hot pickguard with a blender knob for the Strat I was given . Well he bought it , I installed and I have no regrets . That Strat now sounds amazing . Love it , thanks Lindy for such great pickups !

I don’t know much about pickups at all. Most important to me is that they sound good to my ears and how they behave while playing.
For my modded Strat I went from 3 noiseless stock single coils to CS69s after much consideration of other pickups. I liked them way better, but it still did not feel and sound perfect. Fuller sounding, lot of dynamic range, nice attack, but I had a feeling there could be more. There is. In the Fralins. I was convinced from positive comments only and tried the Vintage Hot SSS pre-wired pickup version with plate under the bridge and the tone blender. What’s to loose? I was sure some other guy would pick them up second hand for a good price if I wasn’t happy.Wow. I am totally blown away. My okay Strat now sings and is taken off the rack more often. So much versatility, great sounds, awesome attack. I do not even consider changing these.
Not my last Fralin pickups, I’m sure…From purchase to installation: Everything went perfect.

I called Fralin to discuss an upcoming Strat project, luckily ended up with Lindy on the phone! From start to finish, Lindy patiently walked me through every component in order to get what I wanted in a pre-loaded pickguard. Just a few weeks later, the meticulously packaged product arrived. Amazing!
I have a 30 year old Strat, custom built by Rick Turner. It had an active pickup system he designed and built, including hand-wound pickups, custom preamp and 2x 9v batteries. It sounded like heaven. Shimmering, detailed, and punchy sounds like I had never heard before. But the constant battery replacement was driving me crazy. It seemed like every time I reached for that guitar, the batteries were dead. I decided to try a Fralin prewired Strat pick guard with Vintage Hots as a replacement for the electronics – just hoping that I wouldn’t loose the character of the original system. Man, I’m sorry I didn’t think of this earlier … these pickups are just amazing! I’m getting every sound I ever had with the old pickups, plus a whole range of fantastic new tones I never expected. I’m just so happy with the new setup! It’s beyond my expectations in every way! I couldn’t be happier! Thanks so much Fralin folks! You rock!

Magic Vintage Hot
I didn’t realize what Stratocaster sound is until changed my old Laces Sensors to Lindy’s Vintage Hot. Wow. It is not about that little difference in tone that you barely hear. It is a moving from one reality to another. It is motivates to improve your style, technique and even change playlist in your headphones. And there is more – if you turn your tone to zero in the neck position, you’ll get something magical I can’t really describe in words. There is all in the tone. Thanks to Lindy and all the team for completely changing my experience! Pure magic!

Fantastic product from Fralin!
I put a Fralin’s Blues Special loaded pickguard into my CiC Modern Players Strat and they are absolutely fantastic! A little more powerful and darker than my Eric Johnson strat pickups, but they retain that vintage strat tone. Perfect for many styles of music, but I’m mainly using them for rock and blues. If you’re looking for great full sounding Pups, these won’t disappoint!

Great set, would make a different choice
I put a set of: Neck- fralin vintage hot middle- 54’s bridge- SP42 It sound great and very happy with it but I thought the bridge would hold more punch or be a bit hotter because it is constructed differently. If that what you are looking for, do the same set with SP43’s. The other 4 positions work amazingly, especially that sparkle in neck+middle.

Great pickups! This is my second time installing Fralin pickups on a Strat. Truly amazing pickups. The only regret I have is I wish I went with more distinct capacitor options for my push-pull setup.

Could not be more pleased!
Ordered a fully prewired pickguard the vintage hots are perfect, the additional push-pull pots are very functional. Could not be more pleased with everything from timing to performance quality Mr, Fralin and his team definitely over-delivered. Will definitely need to try out a pair of noise-cancelling P90’s next for my Les Paul.

Before purchasing new pickups for my MIA strat I did months of research and ended up picking up the Vintage Hot pickups prewired with some mods added for good measure. I’m not going to lie I had some pretty high expectations for these pickups.
With all that being said, I have been BLOWN away with how these sound!!!
Playing these pickups clean through my Fender Blues Deluxe is a DREAM! I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The tone is unlike anything I’ve heard before, especially for the price. If you close your eyes you’d think you’re hearing a guitar that costs $5,000 or more.
If you’re on the fence about which pickups to buy and you’re reading this review, pull the trigger here (at least for the Vintage Hot Strat pickups but I would imagine ANY pickup you choose will be well worth your money!)
To the Fralin team; THANK YOU! You have a customer for life! If I ever get a new guitar I will 100% be coming here and buying more pickups!

In love
I’ve floated around using vintage / worn/faulty, and cheapish / mid range pickups for years. I always blamed myself for the poor tone. Sure, I can always improve, but I finally decided to go for a real top-end pickup set. I bought these based on my listening tests, and my guitar now sounds so amazing. The balance between the pickups, and between the strings, is perfect. My other guitars now suck. I’ll definitely be buying Fralin pickups for my others as I can afford them!

Vintage Hot prewired pickguard
I couldn’t be happier with my prewired pickguard purchase. I had a MIM strat that wasn’t quite giving me the tone I was seeking. Ever since I swapped these pickups in I haven’t been able to put that guitar down. I got the treble base plate, as well as the blender pot to explore more sounds as well. Now I can get great tones from all of pickups now where I used to only use the neck pickup with the stock set. I’m still exploring and figuring out what I like, but the dynamics are really stellar on these pickups and give back what you put into the strings.
