We only use the finest-quality, USA-Made pickguards available. Our pickguards are standard USA-Made 11-hole Stratocaster pickguards, unless you choose Single Ply, which is an 8-hole vintage-style pickguard. See below for the color options:
Please note: that while we try and make every effort to make sure everything matches, different manufacturers and dye lots can cause subtle differences in hue and tone.

Can I return my pickguard?
No. Your pickguard is completely custom-built for you, so we cannot accept returns.

What warranty applies to the pickguard?
10 Years on our Pickups, 1 Year on electronics, parts, and pots.

What does the baseplate do?
The Baseplate adds a touch of power and output to the Bridge pickup. This mod is removable and is only available on certain models.

What does the Bright Switch mod do?
The Bright Switch modification adds a bit of clarity, brightness and output when you pull up on the push-pull modification. This mod only affects pickups installed with 250K pots, so it won’t work on our Steel Pole 43’s and High Outputs.

What does the Volume Kit do?
The Volume Kit (or Treble Bleed circuit) prevents your tone from getting darker when you roll your volume down.

Does my Pickguard come with Hardware?
Yes! We ship all pickguards with the screws needed to install your pickguard.

Do you sell Matching Backplates (Tremolo cover)?
Yes, we do! Simply check “Add matching backplate” in the “Options & Upgrades” box.

Can I send you my pickguard to wire up?
Yes, you can! Order a Prewired Pickguard from us and let us know in the “Notes” field that you are sending us a Pickguard. Don’t select Tortoiseshell / Pearloid options as they are more expensive. Reference your invoice number on the new pickguard you send to us. Please note, you do not get a refund if you send your own pickguard in.

Solid 3 single coil strat sounding pickup set (Blues) better than most! Very excited to have played several gigs. My only issue is that the pre wired pickguard is noisy. Not in the traditional sense of hum but there is a clicking / grounding issue when touching the pickup height adjust screws.

Happy at last! I have a semi-hollow, hardtail custom Strat that plays great, but I was never satisfied with its sound. Over the years I tried changing the pickups (including famous brands), both humbuckers and single coils, but I just never really dug it. I finally reached a point of frustration and decided to give it one last try or sell the guitar. I bought a loaded pickguard from Lindy with Steel Pole 43 pickups in the neck and middle and a Split Steel Pole bridge pickup. Lindy called me himself to ensure that the configuration was going to give me what I was looking for. The blend pot and Gibson tone cap make it easy to dial in very satisfying ES-330 type tones. But the surprise is the bridge pickup — easily the best I’ve ever had in any guitar, straight into the amp with no effects it sounds incredible.

First time using Fralin pickups in one of my own guitars. The Steel Pole 42s are downright crushers! Pristine highs that are not brash or harsh. Those gorgeous in between tones are perfect and the bridge and middle cut through without getting painful. A truly balanced set for nearly any style of music!

I specced a loaded Stratocaster guard with Fralin Real ’54s in the neck and middle position and the Split Steel Pole Strat in the bridge. The pickups sound terrific in my hardtail Stratocaster. The guard was delivered exactly the way I asked including a capacitor only treble bleed on the volume control and the independent neck pickup volume control in the 2nd tone knob position. There’s a lot of sound combinations available to me with this setup. The Real 54’s sound very natural and the Split Steel Pole Strat gives me a little more in the bridge and the P-90 flavor of the pickup really seems to agree with the all mahogany body. Plus the pickup is noise cancelling but still single coil sounding due to Lindy’s design. Many thanks to all at Fralin

I own a Mexican Player Plus Strat that I got from Wildwood. Olympic Pearl with tort.
I ordered the Vintage Hots ’50s style, with no RWRP or potting, and with a backplate on the bridge.The order was finished way ahead of the estimated time; then I had to wait for UPS.
First nit to pick – on the website, the knobs are a perfect Fender creme, but you have no matching pickup covers.
In replacing the pickup covers I disassembled quite a bit and was very impressed with the workmanship. As a 3-phase wireman, I’m qualified to comment on that. My only gripe is the spring cover is warped. The pickguard itself is wonderful. My Fender pickguard was sort of dark, swirly brown with a blotch of yellow near the controls. The Fralin pickguard is brighter with more evenly distributed swirls everywhere. And it seems less flimsy.
So. The sound. It sounds like a Strat. 🙂
When I became interested in Fralin pickups, I searched the internet for problems. There weren’t many, and everyone said, “Just call Lindy.” Several people were compelled to offer, “I got the vintage hots and they’re the best Strat sound ever!” I figured if they had to blurt that out on a help thread, it must be true. I’ve played a Les Paul for 53 years. This is my first Strat, so I’m hardly a connoisseur, but Lindy’s pickups not only sound better than the Fender “Noiseless”, they do more. The guitar has gone from disappointing to exciting. In fact, I think I’ll go play it now.

The loaded pickguard with vintage hots , is no less than excellent , perfectly put together , and the tone from the pickups are fantastic as always , they give you that authentic strat clarity ,and chime ,, the bridge pickup is not at all ice picky, especially with Lindy”s magic cap installed , overall , i could’nt be happier , i would highly recommend this set for anyone looking for that authentic 50s Stratocaster sound

I’ve tried full sets of Vintage Hots and Blues Specials in the past, but decided to mix it up this time on my Strat with Vintage Hots in the neck and middle and a Blues Special with base plate in the bridge. Wow! Combine that with the master tone control and a blender pot, and this guitar just wants to sing. Great clarity and well balanced tone. Very articulate and responsive pickups. I highly recommend this mix.

Some of the best pick-ups and overall sound that I have heard on a guitar. I got the blues specials for all three pick-ups, and put them into a older Mexican Stratocaster body with modified neck and all brand new hardware. Super satisfied with the quality and construction of the pick guard, the packaging, and the experience thus far. I would definitely recommend Lindy Fralin to anyone looking to enhance the sound of their guitar to a professional level.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lindy and all the staff at Fralin, in particular Ellen who was a great help in coordinating my order.
I have a 1962 MIJ Fender Strat (1986 model) but always felt that the pickups were “weak.” The guitar itself is beautiful and has aged well. Since coming across Fralins pickups several years ago, I thought it was time to do the right thing and finally give the Strat a bit of attention. I ordered a loaded pick guard with Blues specials in all three positions. The issue was that I wanted to ensure that the pick guard would drop straight in as the screw holding the pickguard on a ’62 is in the middle of the neck and middle pickup, whereas the newer strats (post “63) have the screw closer to the middle pick up. Ellen put me in touch with WD music, who arranged delivery of a pickguard suitable for my guitar to Lindy. The result was both sonically and visually perfect. The pick guard dropped straight in and as soon as I played the first few notes, the room just filled with a tone that I cannot describe. The guitar has come alive with power that just rumbles through you. The neck position is absurd. I absolutely love it.
I have had countless positive comments about the tone of the guitar.
I have a collection of 11 guitars however the ’62 strat was my first and is the most sentimental guitar I have. In recent years It has taken a bit of a back seat, but no more.
