Terms & Conditions

Our Terms and Conditions are simple!

Reseller & Builder Purchases:

Resellers and Builders are required to adhere to the most current version of their respective contracts at the time of purchase.

Cancellations:

Fralin Pickups will impose a 4% administrative fee on products eligible for cancellation. We reserve the right to impose an additional fee, up to 10%, if the order is already in production.

Returns:

Authorization from Fralin Pickups is required prior to returning any product.

Upon authorization, a 10% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund for products eligible for return, excluding original shipping costs. Additional deductions may apply if the returned pickups exhibit damage, scratched covers, or require refurbishing. These fees will be assessed upon receipt and inspection of the returned pickups.

Customized pickups and products from our Prewired catalog are not eligible for return or exchange.

Guitar necks that have been modified or installed (e.g., holes drilled, neck shaped) are not eligible for return or exchange.

Exchanges:

Fralin Pickups will permit a one-time exchange for orders meeting the following criteria:

  • Customized pickups are not eligible for exchange or return.
  • Pickups modified by the customer are not eligible for exchange or return.
  • Exchanges must be initiated within 30 days of receiving the pickup(s).
  • Exchanges are only permitted for tonal reasons and not due to inadequate research by the customer.
  • Pickup(s) must be in new and unaltered condition. Any damage identified by Fralin Pickups may incur additional fees for repair or replacement.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping of the original pickup(s) and shipping costs for the exchanged pickup(s).
  • The customer must ensure safe shipping of the pickup(s) using adequate packing materials.
  • The original order must have been placed directly through Fralin Pickups, not through an authorized reseller.

To initiate an exchange, please:

  • Contact us for authorization before sending the exchange.
  • Complete the Exchange Form and clearly display the RMA number on the package exterior.

Shipping:

Shipping costs exclude Duties, Customs, and Taxes. Fralin Pickups provides tracking information upon shipment. The customer is responsible for tracking and managing delivery.

Stolen Packages:

We are not liable for stolen packages. In such cases, please contact the appropriate authorities and file a police report.

Lost Packages:

If a package is lost or damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately to initiate the claims process and expedite a replacement order.

Incorrect / Missing Shipping Information:

We employ an address verification service to ensure the accuracy of your shipping address. If the address provided is incorrect, incomplete, or missing information, additional fees may apply to correct and reroute your package.

Services:

All services, including Rewind, Repair, or A La Carte services, are subject to a $30 non-refundable Diagnostic/Processing fee. This fee is non-refundable and will be applied to the total cost of the pickup service.

Warranty:

Our pickups are covered by a 10-year warranty against manufacturing defects, such as:

  • Pickup ceasing to function
  • Decreased output
  • Increased and frequent microphonics

The warranty does not cover customer negligence during handling or installation.

Our Control Plates and Prewired Pickguards have a 1-year warranty on electronics (pickups continue to have a 10-year warranty). Electronics (pots, switches, jacks) are not covered beyond one year from the purchase date.

Post-Purchase Assistance:

We are pleased to offer post-purchase assistance for products purchased from us. General inquiries and installation advice are welcome, and we will provide support to the best of our ability.

However, certain topics fall outside the scope of our transaction, including, but not limited to, diagnosing wiring diagrams and issues, guitar setup questions unrelated to pickups, and modifications to guitar wiring.

For these matters, we may recommend consulting a local luthier for assistance and reviewing our available resources here:
