Split Blade Tele FEATURES:
Split Blade Tele Pickups: revolutionary design, pure Telecaster tone, no hum. Unlike most pickups, we designed our Split Blades with a left-right coil design, giving you a truer and more balanced single-coil tone. These pickups will drop right into your Telecaster, with no modifications necessary. You’ll get all the single-coil traditional tone, with no hum at all.
Our manufacturing process allows us to achieve unparalleled quality control. Split Blades consist of a precision injection mold and USA-Made Steel Blades. We use aggressive USA-Made magnets to make this model scream. Each bobbin is carefully inspected and cleaned before winding. We wind each pickup by hand, one at a time. Each pickup is wound using our proprietary “Sectioning” technique. This gives the pickup a sweet, clear tone. Finally, we wax-pot the pickup to preserve the pickup and prevent microphonics.

Sound
SPLIT BLADE TELE SOUND:
Unhappy with Hum-Cancelling Fender Pickups, Lindy designed the Split Blade. It’s a hum-canceling pickup with traditional Fender-type sparkle. They’re unique: they offer a single-coil sound, no hum, and dashingly good looks. Expect fantastic a warm, full-bodied tone with incredible string articulation and enhanced detail. Wound strings sound clear and articulate due to a narrow magnetic field. Plain strings sound thicker than a single-coil with more of a sonic footprint. Chords will sound smooth and buttery, and single notes will sound large and full. Split Blades will not pull the strings out of tune – even if they get close to the strings. Also, adjusting the pickup’s height allows you to fine-tune your tone to your needs. Expect thick, warm, and dynamic tone with distortion.
Pot Value:
Vintage and High Output Split Blades sound great on 250K Pots or 300K pots. We sell 300K Pots here if you need one!

1 Ohm Readings can vary due to a multitude of factors, including ambient temperature, multimeter calibration, different wire batches, and other factors. Due to this, ohm readings are approximate. Learn more about Ohm Readings here.
2 We recommend a 0.02mfd Cap Value on most guitar and bass pickups. The exception is a Magic Cap, which Lindy prefers on the Bridge Pickup of Fender® guitars only. Learn More about Caps Here.
* Due to the unique design of this pickup, ohm readings aren't very helpful. Our Vintage Output is close to the a Vintage Strat Pickup output.

Go the extra mile and combine our Split Blade Tele with a Telecaster Control Plate!:
I bought the High Output Split Blade Tele set with a black bridge and a parchment neck. My telecaster is wired with 250k pots and a 47uf cap. This sounds like the Texas Special Set from Fender when used slightly overdriven but when I plug into a jcm800 or a 6505 it sounds tight and aggressive with a singing quality. I primarily play with a bassman and jtm45 clown amp, but I add stacked overdrives and etc. These are excellent for every application and I primarily play Robin Trower-esque blues, yatch rock, finger style jazz, bossa nova, and 80s shred.
Does exactly what you want, great tele tone with no hum. This replaces a Fender Custom Shop nocaster bridge p’up and is now the only p’up in the guitar. It does everything I want. It is the Blues flavoured p’up with a 250k pot into a BluGuitar amp 1. Great string detail and clarity.
I was buying a steel pole steel tele bridge pickup. I called about a neck pickup companion; vintage split was recommended. I installed a 4 way switch couldn’t be happier!
I’ve owned tele/tele style guitars. The neck pickups sometimes can be…..uninspiring. Not these! That neck pickup wax a perfect match for the steel spill pole.
I recently acquired a beautifully constructed Tele ‘partscaster’, and a first Telecaster type guitar for me. This was set up with some custom -wound pickups from a major company, but the neck pickup had very little output, not much twang, and no dynamic range….and I really like soloing on the neck pickup. I read a lot of positive reviews of the Fralin noiseless pickups, and took a chance. I ordered the “Blues” version because my Tele had 500k pots and I wanted a higher output than vintage. It is fabulous…..incredibly dynamic, great highs with no “icepick” or harsh sound, a little more mid-rangy than a typical single coil, and quiet, even with a high-gain amp setting. Also customer service was amazing…..a phone conversation with someone who listened to my questions, and responded honestly and with accurate information. They emailed installation information, and let me know when it was going to be shipped. All in all, a really wonderful experience and a great product.
I have an SX Furrian 3/4 size guitar, that I put a Split Steel Pole Tele Bridge pickup in. I did the online CONTACT US form to ask what would be a good match for the neck position, they recommended a vintage Split Blade. I wired them to a 4 way switch, this is the way to go for any tele style guitar. The two in series is…..magical.
These pickups are everything I could have asked for! As a jazz guitarist using a tele these pickups have helped me save a lot of headaches with extra noise and helped me get the tone that I needed out of my guitar. They also helped me out in choosing the specifics for the pickups as well as which pots to use!
Just installed the split blades on my new Fender telecaster. Excellent Tele sound and hum/noise free. I thrilled with the great noise free tone this guitar now has!
If you email me I’ll send a pic. Would have added it here but I don’t see a way to do so.
Tele tone, no hum. I have the Blues Special split blade in the neck with the High Output in the bridge, approximating a Nocaster type tone (500k pots). The guitar sounds awesome, twangy and thick – anywhere from Zeppelin 1 to Dwight Yoakam, and all points in between. If you are on the fence about silent singles, this is the way to go.
Reading the reviews that were available isn’t like going to a place and being able to give them a test run..
these split blades have their own character… not talking them down..
Spectacular. All of the tele, none of the hum! So, so good.
