Sound
Fralin P-Bass Pickups are like our J-Bass® Replacements: they have a huge fat tone. Fralin P-Bass Pickups are fat, punchy, and round. The lows are deep and rich, and the highs are sweet and clear. The first thing you’ll notice when you install these pickups is how you can hear more of your P-Bass. You’ll hear an extended low-end and a rounder top-end. These pickups are very vintage sounding, but with modern power.
- For an era-authentic 50’s tone, use our “Stock Wind”, or, choose “N/A” under output preference
- For a thicker midrange and fewer highs, choose +5%. This will reduce the highs by 5%, and increase the lows and mids by 5%.
- For an even thicker tone than the +5%, you can opt for +10%. This is perfect for anyone looking for an aggressively strong midrange and dark tone. Perfect for balancing out a bright sounding bass.
- If you’re looking for a little cleaner tone, use our -5% wind. This will increase the highs by 5%, and decrease the mids by 5%.

Is your Lead Time of 2-3 Weeks accurate?
It really depends on the shop capacity at the moment, and the size of your order. Feel free to give us a call for an accurate lead time. We always try to underpromise and overdeliver.

What pickup height do you recommend setting your P-Basss to?
Our recommended Pickup Height is 1/8" (3.175mm) on the Bass Side and 1/16"( 1.5875mm) on the Treble Side. Measure by holding the corresponding side down at its highest fret and measure from the bottom of the string to the top of the pole piece.

Amazing Precision Pickups! Replaced the Stock P-Bass pickups on my late 90s American Deluxe Precision with Lindys. This is the older model that has a large humbucker in the bridge position, so having the Fralins in there really expands and balances the tone spectrum… not to mention that the Lindys are deeper, cleaner, and don’t break up as easily. It truly feels like a new bass now, and I think I’ll be exploring the new tonal possibilities for a while to come. Cannot recommend these pickups highly enough.

These pickups installed in a 2018 P bass are amazing. Besides the great sound, the non-protruding pole pieces are a plus – no more noise from touching the fingertips on them. -

Lindy Fralin for the win! I’ve had Fralin pickups in my J Bass for years. I don’t know why I didn’t immediately put one in my P Bass when I bought it. The tone was immediately better. Tight punchy lows and mids and crystal clear singing highs. If you love that classic Fender sound you can’t go wrong with Fralin pickups!

The sound of my bass changed a lot. The sound level is much higher, but at the same time also clear. I’ve perceived a great change when I use higher notes, that now can be heard very clearly.

Another great experience with Lindy’s pickups. I replaced the stock pickup in a 1995 Peavey Fury with a stock winding P-bass pickup and the change has been *very* satisfying. The pickup sounds warm, articulate and—I struggled a bit for the right words here—delightfully organic. There is a distinctive harmonic content that has been pleasing me no end. If you’re interested, I’ve also got fresh CTS pots (250k audio taper volume, linear taper tone, and a nice new orange drop .047 microfarad capacitor) and Labella 760FS Deep Talkin’ flatwounds on this bass. Great pickup!

This pickup is great….the bass I traded for awhile ago was 95 mim p (already had the fralin in it!)…It soared as soon as i put labella 54 flats
Now i got a warmoth neck on the way to increase the sustain even more!
Long story short…BADASS PICKUP LINDY!!!

Compared to the stock Fender set, my bass now feels three-dimensional. I can hear an added clarity and bite in lows, mids and highs alike. Very strongly recommended for any player looking to really bring out the voice in his or her P. Bass.

Guys these pickups are awesome! I chose the 5% output to put in my Fender Precision American Standard to diminish the highs a bit while giving a sweet boost to the lows and mids and they did just that. The Fralin pickups brought out everything that’s beautiful about a P-bass and I am very satisfied. No issues with the installation and the customer service was very good! Highly recommended.

The pickups in my 59 P-bass were really starting to lose their gain. I’ve had good experience with Fralin pickups in the past. So beforeI decided to rewind them and diminish their value I decided to try the Fralin 10% overwound pickups. My pre-CBS P-bass has never sound better. It had full gain and full on P-Bass tone with lot’s of grunt. I wish I made this move years ago. I ordered the pickups with the cover removed and the new pickup slotted right in.

Just got the 5% overwound a couple weeks ago, installed it in my Mexican Fender P-Bass and I’m 100% satisfied with it. Beefy lows, punch in the mids, clarity in the treble, and that “signature P-Bass” vibe: just what I was yearning for. The overall output is strong, without being too hot/out of control. The range of these pickups are completely unbelievable. low low thump to the most sparkling tone I’ve ever heard, in one tone knob..I would highly recommend this pickup to wake up your p bass.i chose the regular wound spec Great product which exceeded my expectations

I replaced the original pups in my 76 P with stock LF P-bass pups and it was like the bass was reborn. Incredibly open, present tone…just amazing.
